Introducing Mick Dolan...

Anybody of whom has met Mick Dolan knows that he is a man of immense character! Being more so the joker of the duo and having the gift of lighting up a room! Mick's mischievous smile and witty humour is what's really behind that stern stance!

Here's more about the man himself; Mick Dolan...

Born in Finsbury 31/12/1957.  Mick spent much of his misspent youth and all his money on going to gigs. His favourite year being 1973. He started out playing drums in various unsuccessful bands, which usually broke up due to “musical differences”. Having now played guitar for more than several decades and started fingerpicking during lockdown The Grey Hares is his new musical venture.

Mick has a wide range of music tastes...

'A few of my favourite albums are: The Black Ballon by John Renbourn, Solid Air by John Martin, JT by Steve Earle, CSN 1st Album, Octopus by Gentle Giant, Foxtrot and Nursery Cryme by Genesis, The Black Swan and Jack Orion by Bert Jansch. As well as there being too many more to mention.'

Introducing Keith Walker...

Anybody of whom has met Keith Walker would've gathered that he is a cool, calm and collected man. However a deep passion runs alongside his calm exterior!

With musical fire flowing through his veins, throughout his life it has always been the one prominent thing that's been at the heart of his home, his love, heart and soul.

Having played for over fifty years and been a part of numerous projects in multiple genres and styles there's nothing Keith won't embrace and give a go musically as well as creatively.

Music Style and Guitars...

Now you've all gotten to know a bit about the men themselves, it's time to delve into the music, inspiration and most importantly the guitars!!!

The Grey Hares write and perform our own original material. As two guitarists we have different contrasting styles.

The two styles blend well to create our melodic and expansive compositions. The guitars of choice we use define the signature sound and unique tone.

Michael favours Larivee, Martin and Gibson guitars. Keith, Taylor and Dowina models.

The combination of guitars and styles result in a blend of warmth with a distinct shimmer. Our unique sound and tone.

Our debut album 'Introducing The Grey Hares' is available on all streaming platforms and available to purchase on Bandcamp too.
